Notes from Code4Lib 2009

I've posted notes from the Code4Lib 2009 conference on the classes*v2 server.

  1. Hey - sorry if I misspoke about this, but just to clarify, BagIt isn't an substitute for wrapper structures like METS, it's a complement to them for the purpose of transferring data across systems. We put METS packages inside of Bags all the time, for example, to be sure that we're moving the METS around correctly. They don't compete, they go together! :)

I will be more careful about how I phrase this in the future.

  2. Or, more likely, I misheard! Thanks for the correction, Dan. :-)
